ZEKS XpandAir™ Flow Controller

The ZEKS XpandAir Flow Controller can improve the efficiency of a compressed air system by up to 60% by isolating the system's supply side from its demand side and by regulating the flow of air between the two sides.

The controller consists of an XpandAir Valve and an electronic control package that works in conjunction with a large energy storage tank.

The controller allows only the quantity of air needed by the demand side to flow from the supply side and it continuously adjusts the air flow to maintain constant pressure in the demand side line.

By eliminating fluctuating pressures the controller reduces artificial demand and increases the efficiency of pneumatic devices and processes, resulting in higher quality products.

Use of the XpandAir Controller permits the compressed air system to produce for average usage level and to store for peaks. It also allows the compressor(s) to operate at its (their) most efficient point by eliminating constant on-off cycling.

XpandAir's Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller provides proportional rather than fixed response to changes in line pressure. This microprocessor based controller features auto tuning which learns to exactly match response speed with rate of demand change.

The XpandAir control panel can be mounted away from the valve itself and its Electronic Control Package has remote communications capability. Manual bypass valves permit controller maintenance without system interruption.

Standard controllers are available with 1" to 6" connections in flow ranges from 200 scfm to 6,000 scfm.
